Book; The View from a Kite

Gwen, 17, a TB patient, narrates her day-to-day life in a sanitarium in 1970’s. How she feels about her dead dad, on her misery each time she visits her mother who is hospitalised and nearly lifeless, about her old granny, Aunt Edith, for whom she cares more than everything else. And before I forget, her crazy friends at sanitarium.

I especially liked the last few pages, when Gwen is determined not to let her illness conquer her life & dreams.
A book worth reading.
